The HeroSurg robot, presented on September 28, 2016 at the Australasian Congress by specialists from Deakin University (Melbourne, Australia), provides the operator with a sense of touch through the technology of feedback between manipulators and the tool.
The technology that allows to "feel the tissues", in addition to the already familiar for robotic surgery 3D image of the operating field, provides surgeons with the ability to conduct increasingly complex robotic assistants.
