Description:
The three-day practical course «Fundamentals of urological operations» is devoted to the study and development of surgical techniques of urological operations using specialized equipment and instruments on biological tissue.
The program of the course of 16 academic hours is designed in such a way that each participant can improve the technique of performing various urological manipulations as quickly as possible and work out them on a biopreparation, as close to real conditions.
The first lesson is devoted to familiarity with the technique of applying clamps, ligatures to renal vessels, the types and methods of resection of the kidney, and also to suturing kidney defects. The practical part of the first lesson includes the development of the above manipulations with the use of biological tissue.
The purpose of the second lesson is self-study of the skills most often used in urological practice, such as: pyelotomy, ureterotomy, ureteroplasty, and the installation of an ureteral stent with subsequent suturing of the pelvis and ureteral defect.
The third day is devoted to the development of the basic surgical interventions on the bladder, namely, cystotomy, suturing of the bladder defect, ureterocystoanastomosis.
Most of the course time is devoted to practical work with biological tissue. This approach allows us to improve our operational equipment in the shortest possible time.
The practical course is held under the direction of Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Adel Salmanovich Al-Shukri.
