Clamps (grasper), having teeth on the surfaces, serve to capture tissues, for example, when removing the drug from the abdominal cavity.

It is more preferable to use atraumatic clamps - without teeth for less traumatization of tissues.

Most of the clamps currently manufactured have an insulating coating and a connector for connection to ECG, which allows them to be used not only for the purpose of capturing, but also for electrosurgical treatment of tissues.
