Vertical mattress suture. Technique of execution.
The McMillan-Donati vertical mattress is used in the mobilized, excessively tight and unequal margins of the wound, ensuring their reliable juxtaposition.
The first injection of the needle make for 1-2 cm from the edge of the wound, grasp the bottom and pull out at the same distance from the opposite side. The superficial part of the stitch is placed as close as possible from the edges of the wound.
