A continuous seam with overlap, in contrast to a simple continuous seam, provides a more accurate comparison of the edges of the wound. It is often used for operations on vessels and internal organs.

After the first needle is removed, fix the thread using the knot. After each stitch is applied, the thread must be overturned, which prevents the opening of the seam when untyping the thread.
